Connecting . . .

Our door is always open.

So are our minds.

Growing . . .

You're just an average woman. Divorced. Working 60 hours a week. Trying to raise three children.

What could you possibly need help with?

Sharing . . .

You spend countless hours taking care of your husband, your children and your mother.

Somewhere along the way you just forgot to take care of yourself.

Learning . . .

Think of us as a library, lawyers office, career center and box of Kleenex all rolled into one.

Simpler than ever

In response to recent media coverage in relation to potential state budget cuts that would impact the ability of the Women's Resource Center's ability to provide vital services to women and families in our community:

The New Choices Program – which provides job training services for Displaced Homemakers - is only one of many programs offered at the Women's Resource Center.  The governmental funding at-risk, coupled with additional reductions in foundational support, represents an approximate $85,000 loss for that program only.

Could the program come to an end? That's a tough question. At the very least, it will definitely impact the amount of services we provide and the number of women we serve. We are committed to doing our very best to meet the needs of displaced homemakers and that's why we are reaching out to partners like you who can help us get the word out in order to influence our legislators' decisions.

Because governmental and non-governmental grant funding is so unpredictable, it is more important than ever for individuals who believe in the programs and services provided by the Women's Resource Center of Greensboro to show support through financial contributions to the agency.  If you'd like to make a gift please click here.
